Marc Colin Chassagne Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 2005

Allen Meadows: A ripe and unusually pretty red pinot fruit nuanced by notes of warm earth and pepper merge into rich and full-bodied flavors that display only mild rusticity on the firmly structured finish. This is certainly bigger and more powerful than the St. Aubin "1er" but ultimately less interesting as this just doesn't have the same elegance and finesse despite the old vine intensity. 87 points
