Michel Colin-deleger Chassagne Montrachet Rouge Vieilles Vignes 2002

Allen Meadows: Noticeable new oak aromas highlight ripe, earthy fruit and underbrush aromas and rich, full-bodied, rustic, nicely complex flavors that offer impressive old vine intensity. There is solid structure here but at present, it's completely buffered by the ample sap. This is not elegant but there is plenty of flavor authority and Chassagne character here. 86-89 points
