Perrot-minot Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2004

Allen Meadows: A nose of fresh earthy red fruit aromas that offer excellent complexity in the form of underbrush, anise and game notes complement the round, delicious, forward and intense medium full flavors that offer sneaky length as they do a slow build from the mid-palate on back. Indeed, this is one of those wines which seems to disappear relatively quickly on the finish only to reappear 10 seconds later. Note that there was a lot of dissolved gas in this wine and I would strongly suggest decanting it first as it took a long time to dissipate. 88 points
