Robert Groffier Chambertin-clos De Beze Grand Cru 2006

Stephen Tanzer: Good bright, deep red. Knockout nose combines cherry, licorice, white pepper and flowers, plus a suggestion of crushed berries. Dense, sweet and sharply delineated, with an urgent, tangy quality to the flavors of red berries, spices and pepper. Another 2006 with outstanding energy and length. The wine's electric finishing notes of ginger and blood orange reminded me of a 2007, but the Groffiers' 2007 version of this cuvee seems yet riper. And this one may be longer. 94(+?) points
