Stephen Tanzer: (the first vintage for this wine, from three parcels, including a high percentage of old vines) Liqueur-like red fruits on the nose. Fat and moderately sweet, in a supple style. Conveys a chocolatey ripeness but good tangy berry flavors. Finishes with rather soft tannins. 86-88 points
