Mouton Noir Pinot Noir 'Opp' 2011

"Though the label presents a tongue-in-cheek approach to wine, the juice is very serious. I recommend an hour's worth of decanting for this youthful wine. After aeration, the wine flaunts bright and juicy red and black fruit, which leaps from the glass with an almost Burgundian sensibility. This Pinot has a garnet red rim color, with intense clarity. High-toned Bing cherry, gingerbread spice, forest floor and herbs are accompanied by bright acidity, with unusually supple texture and delicate tannins. The wine presents the best of both worlds: ripe, New World fruit and Old World complexity. The wine craves tender roast pork loin or veal chops."
