Review BERECHE BRUT 1ER CRU RILLY-LA-MONTAGNE CHAMPAGNE 2014
BERECHE BRUT 1ER CRU RILLY-LA-MONTAGNE CHAMPAGNE 2014
93 Points - Stephan Reinhardt - The Wine Advocate: "Made for the first time, the 2014 Rilly-la-Montagne Premier Cru is 100% Pinot Noir from 36-year-old vines in a very stony place with a lot of silex in the soil. The bouquet is clear, fine, fresh and very elegant, with yeasty as well as delicate oaky aromas. On the palate, this is a linear, terribly pure, fresh and still austere Pinot Noir with an iron fist and remarkable acidity, salinity and tension. It is a very intense, long and complex troublemaker right now, very challenging. "It is a Pinot Noir without shoulders, but very elegant and straight," says Raphaël Bérêche. In fact, it is an impressive blend of great finesse and complexity but needs time. Disgorged as Extra Brut in January 2018; tasted in April 2018."
