STEKAR SIVI PINOT GRIS 2018
The Štekar family started humbly as co-op farmers in the Goriška Brda zone of Slovenia back in 1985. They gradually increased their production until they were able to start their own winery. Today, they farm 10 hectares of vineyards, producing 35,000 bottles/year, as well as 22 hectares of cherry orchards. Roman Štekar and his son Jure run the winery as well as an agriturismo in the stunning hills of western Slovenia. In 2006, the winery received its organic certification. Their winemaking style strives to show the true regional terroir with only locally grown varieties fermented with native yeasts in neutral oak with tiny amounts of SO2 added.
