93 Points- Luis Gutierrez - The Wine Advocate - “There is one white wine, produced with the fruit of individual plants mixed with the red varieties in two old vineyards, that he has called 2015 La Salvación. The destemmed grapes underwent a 24-hour cold soak, pressed and the juice left to settle for one more day. The wine was then put in barrel for fermentation (very slow in one case) and one-year aging, when one of the barrels developed some flor. I was blown away by the finesse and Burgundian character of the wine, one of the finest whites I remember from Bierzo, and it made me think of the As Sortes from Rafael Palacios in Valdeorras. The palate is terribly balanced and tasty, long, with pungent flavors and a beautiful, almost salty finish. This is truly outstanding. Only 650 bottles were filled in November 2016.”
Variety: Godello
