“The Domaine: This small fifth-generation family-run domaine was just recently passed on to the youngest generation, with David Dubuet in charge. The name Monthélie comes from David's father's side of the family: his grandmother's maiden name was Monthélie, like the village and the appellation. That's where it all began, many decades ago, with vineyards in Monthelie, in both colors: Monthélie red Sous le Cellier and a rarer white: Monthélie white Les Combes Danay as well as with Meursault and Beaune. It is now an 8 hectare domaine, with vineyards in Auxey-Duresses, Savigny Les Beaune, and Pernand-Vergelesses. Their Bourgogne red, from a single vineyard is also worthy of this up-and-coming domaine.”
